I do not consider myself to be a food photographer. While food photography and still-life photography share many things in common, being talented in one does not necessarily mean you are talented in the other. That being said: I had a lot of fun with these shots.

Each cake had a theme; this was decadence. The shot was created using in-camera multiple exposures. The flames were made by filling a long metal trough with rubber cement and igniting it for the second exposure. Those are some good flames (the cake was pretty good too!).
